Durham Gilesgate is a community based 11-18 specialist college based on two distinct campuses serving the needs of young people in the east of Durham City and far beyond. We have a distinct ethos based on care, challenge and aspiration.
We take pride in the vast and varied accomplishments of our students. We therefore celebrate a range of diverse achievements from successfully completed community projects to Oxbridge entry.
We are committed to each student maximising their achievements from a constantly evolving innovative curriculum. Working in partnership and collaboration with our students, their parents, and other organisations are the cornerstones of how we operate.
In this learning community we can proudly boast that 'every child and colleague does indeed matter'.
