Celebrating a Century of Success...

Student Finance...

We'll give you financial support...

We know how difficult it can be to make ends meet. We offer our students financial support, up to £1,200 through our student bursaries and all of our full-time students receive up to £250 in Year 12 to support them through their studies.

2013-2014 – Financial support for learning for all Year 12 students

This year Durham Sixth Form centre is providing extra financial support for learning. As already stated every Year 12 student receives up to £250, the amount is calculated on the distance you would travel to come here.

The easiest way to work it out is to enter appropriate postcodes into AA route planner which you can find here:

In the space titled From enter DH1 1SG and in the space titled To enter your own postcode. The result will give you the miles from your home to the Sixth form Centre. The distance equates to money as shown below:

0-2.99 miles equals £100
3-4.99 miles equals £150
5-9.99 miles equals £200
Over 10 miles equals £250

In addition to this if you live in Sunderland Borough Council you are entitled to claim additional support to pay for your travel. The information can be found here

We also have other bursaries detailed below...
