Students who study at Durham Sixth Form Centre have the benefit of being in the heart of a World Heritage Site: we are less than five minutes walk from Durham City Centre.  No other sixth form institution can offer its students this exciting location.

We are next door to the new Clay port Library and Gala Theatre.  With the River Wear and the famous “Sands” on our doorstep many students enjoy walking along the riverbanks at lunchtime.  In the City itself students find a host of lively cultural, social and educational advantages and facilities.

The theatres, galleries, exhibitions museums and book shops all play their part in enriching the students’ experience.  Additionally Durham Sixth Form Centre works closely with Durham University staff and students to offer unique and exciting opportunities for our students who come who study.

As Durham is the central hub of the County, all roads lead to Durham!
The Sixth Form Centre has excellent transport links.  It is serviced by direct routes from all corners of the County, and the bus and railway stations are both within easy walking distance of the Centre.  A large public car-park is directly opposite the Centre’s main entrance.
