Level 2 Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQ)

VRQ level 2 is a recognised technical certificate used in Engineering apprenticeship frameworks.
Durham Sixth Form Centre in partnership with ‘The TTE Technical Training Group’ offers this technical training in combination with 3 A levels. It is a blend of both academic and practical skills to prepare the students for a career in Engineering. Career opportunities
After VRQ L2, students could seek employment in industry or progress to VRQ L3 and may be a Foundation degree. Students could also pursue a career in any of the A level subjects studied. Few photos below show our VRQ students at TTE enjoying themselves.
The Durham Sixth Centre students in this year’s cohort are, Lewis Fortune, Martin Walker, Anthony Everett, James Pearcy, Brandon Allison, Oliver Scott, Greg Williams, Gareth Williams, Joel Chalkley and Liam Rough.
Our students also enjoy working as a team with students from Spennymoor School, one of our partner schools.
