The Campus

The Gilesgate Campus offers a range of excellent facilities providing for both the social and academic needs of our students alongside offering provision for huge levels of community involvement.

The building originates from the 1960s.  It has been well maintained, extended and enhanced to meet the needs of a constantly evolving curriculum focussed on today’s learners and the demands of Extended Services in support of its local community.

Accommodation includes, extensive sports facilities including a flood-lit all-weather pitch,
flood-lit tennis courts and a sports hall.

A major redevelopment of the foyer was completed in 2004 and the Main Hall was extensively refurbished shortly afterwards and now offers accommodation that can be used for social, training and teaching purposes.

A sculpture garden was established in 2007 as the result of collaborative work with local artists and now enhances our specialist Art provision.

There has been a major commitment to ICT.  The school boasts a 1:3 computer to student ratio.

The Governors are fully committed to on-going resource, facility and premises enhancement.
