As a student at Durham Sixth Form Centre you will have a Form Tutor who you will meet every week and will be your first point of contact for support.
You will also have a Leader of Learning who, in conjunction with your Form Tutor, will guide you throughout your time here providing help with important issues and will monitor your attendance and academic progress closely to ensure that you are maximising your full potential.
Tutor Support Programme
We also have a valuable programme of tutorial support which is scheduled every Wednesday afternoon where you will have access to individual mentoring, a wide range of services, events and visiting speakers.
This Tutor Support Programme aims to mentor you through the difficult transition from secondary school to either Higher Education or the world of work, focusing on academic, personal and social development.
You will have the opportunity to reflect upon your progress, set clear targets for improvement, attend subject specific booster sessions and receive high quality information, advice and guidance from our award winning careers department.
