the new school uniform...

Through collaboration with our student council, September 2011 sees the launch of our new school uniform. Most of the uniform can be bought from a range of shops and we only ask that the blazer and grey v neck are ordered from us.

We propose that from September 2011 our new uniform consists of:

Black blazer
White shirt (formal not polo)
Burgundy tie (provided by the school)
Grey jumper (available from the school)
Black trousers/skirt
Black shoes (not trainers)

Jewellery

Jewellery at the Gilesgate Campus should be discreet and should not pose a threat to student safety. Any jewellery which is more than a watch or small earrings should be challenged. Facial piercings must be plastic for the 2-4 weeks healing period and then removed.

Students will be asked to remove inappropriate jewellery or have it confiscated. Any confiscated jewellery should be passed on to the appropriate Leader of Learning (Pastoral).

Accessories such as large fashion belts are not deemed part of the uniform and should not be worn by students.

Students at the Sixth From Centre should dress in a manor which is appropriate to the educational environment that they are in.
