Arts Facilities

Within the Arts Faculty, we have some fantastic facilities, which support both educational, community and extra curricular Arts; Many of the Arts Faculty Subjects operate across two or more sites; Bradford Crescent Campus, 6th Form Centre and Belmont School Community Arts College.

For our Musicians and Performers, we have a 220 seat theatre, which plays host to Theatre Studies and Drama Lessons, as well as being the venue of choice for many staged performances. In addition, we have a second Stage, at the Bradford Crescent Campus, which hosts many other performances including our annual pantomime.

The Media Studies Department accommodation includes specialist teaching spaces with access to; PC’s for production; multimedia/audio/visual equipment for screenings; a Music Editing Suite; a TV Production Suite with ‘Green Screen’ facilities; moving Image editing and desk top publishing with an array of digital equipment ranging from digital cameras to DVD camcorders.

The Art Department, at the 6th Form Centre, is based within the award winning Visual Arts Centre. The VAC, which opened in February 2006, provides purpose built teaching accommodation and exhibition space for many specialist areas of the Visual Arts. Facilities and accommodation include; Textiles Studio, fully equipped with sewing machines and an over-locker; Ceramics Studio with direct access to two large kilns; Glass Studio with glass kiln and stained glass equipment; Photography Studio with Dark Room and Digital Photography; fully equipped Fine Art Studio; Graphic Design Studio equipped with a suite of PC’s; an exhibition space on the ground floor; and the Design Suite, with access to the services and expertise of our in-house graphic design company, ‘design:point’.
